Coffee-INN
- sweets & snacks & more -
Junckerstrasse 2, 16816 Neuruppin
Mo - Fr: 8.00 - 18.00 Sa, So: 11.00 - 17.00
After visiting the Coffee Inn, owned by Roman Falkenberg,
son of our friends Wolfgang and Annemarie, we promised to advertise the
place a bit, so here you find the address and a few pictures of the interior.
The Coffee Inn leis just outside the center of Neuruppin and
opened in August 2002. Click on the map on the right for a somewhat larger map.
The lunchroom is opened from 8 in the morning until 6 at night
during, but on saturday and sunday from 11 to 5.
The interior has been painted by the sister of Roman's
friend and is a cheerfull orange. A good place for our Dutch royal family
to have a party.
Next to the normal beverages and many sorts of coffee, Roman
always tries new specialities and one can also have a snack.
At the back is a small place where one can have some
privacy. When we were there, workers from a nearby bank used it for their
lunch. They have become regular customers.
The atmosphere is quiet and informal; a relief compared with
the many new modern and western bars and restaurants that appear everywhere
in former Eastern Germany.
Of course we had to make a lot of pictures of this orange paradise:
We think this is a perfect spot to take a break when you
are visiting Neuruppin or the neighbourhood. When you have troubles finding
it, just ask for the statue of Theodor Fontane, a well known poet from here.
This statue is in a small park. Facing the statue you have to go left, the
side street to the west where a street sign says you are walking in the
Junckerstrasse bent. After 50 meters it is on the right side of the road.
Good luck Roman, and we sure will visit you again when we are around.
